The Roots of Knowledge Rupert Sheldrake’s theory of Morphic resonance to me implies that no knowledge can be truly lost. If one member of humanity has taken one course of action…invented one thing in the past… then an imprint of that mental pathway is left in the ether. Anyone chosing a similar path again will find it easier, faster. This implies that our knowledge isn’t just rooted in our own brains, but somehow is linked to the collective unconscioous. The ghostly man’s face in these images… represent the side of us sensitive to non-physical reality… to invisible waves… that cross space and time. The web structure also represents the world wide web… which to me represents a physical source into which all libraries of today are rooted. A collective pool of knowledge.
