Whispering Gates

Memory represents a gate or window through which we see the past. What we see or remember depends on where we point the window - like a torch we wish to shine on chosen moments and events.

When we chose to be something new... then new memories whisper to us... suddenly we remember moments and events that relate to our definition of who we are now.

Physicist Fred Alan Wolf writes: (According to Parallel universe theory)..there is no fixed past. The past we believe is the past is what a community of communicating intelligent beings choose to be the past. Other pasts are out there waiting to be discovered. In other words, there are parallel pasts - an infinite number of them. The past that is altered by the present is just one of the many...... an observation of an event now somehow sends a message backwards in time and "causes" events in the past. If this is true, then what is really the past? It would seem that there is no absolute past because there is always the possibility at any time that some present event will alter it.
