Veils of Scheherazade/ Power of the Storyteller

History is a set of stories. Our perception of the past changes as much as our perception of the future. A (his)story we chose creates a veil through which we filter events. Only evidence that re-inforce our story is accepted. Eventually we believe the story itself to be reality.
